About Us
Monash Infrastructure Doctors is a team of experts from Monash University led by Prof. Jayantha Kodikara, who is also the Director of ARC Smart Pavements Hub - SPARC, based at Monash University. Monash Infrastructure Doctors have been advancing the frontiers of research and development for water utilities through critically acclaimed projects such as the Advanced Condition Assessment and Pipe Failure Prediction (ACAPFP), or the Critical Pipe Project and its implementation phase. The outcomes of this project and subsequent work by Monash Infrastructure Doctors led by Prof. Kodikara have resulted in paradigm shifts such as the Leak Before Break Concept (LBB) for corroded cast iron pipes which has transformed leak detection and network health monitoring in water utilities in Australia and around the world.
